VMSG is excited to welcome Externs for One Day Visits, Two Day Externships or Five Day Externships (5 day externships can be extended into 2 or 3 week extern experiences as well). Please send us the following information by email to students@vmsg.com (you will need to attach your CV and a headshot) in order to be considered for the Externship program.

Diagnostic imaging plays a critical role in the modern diagnosis of our patients. The ability to use advanced equipment to 'see' exactly what is normal or abnormal within the body of the patient, as well as to plan and execute effective treatment, has revolutionized veterinary medicine. VMSG employs interns for a 1 year rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship. The interns are placed through the Veterinary Internship Residency Matching Program.

Please feel free to download the Patient Referral Form and fill it our prior to sending the patient to VMSG. You are welcome to fax the information to VMSG in advance of the visit. Please send copies of any pertinent records and radiographs either with the client, or fax to VMSG at (805) 339-2291.
