Dr. Stefanie Owczarczak

Dr. Stefanie Owczarczak (pronounced Owe-char-check) is a native to Buffalo, New York. She attended Rochester Institute of Technology and obtained a Bachelors of Science in biology. While in undergraduate school, she was a member of the Varsity Swimming and Diving team and studied abroad in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Shortly after graduating, she attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at veterinary school, she traveled to Honduras to carry out wildlife relief work and was awarded a grant that allowed her the opportunity to participate in sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation at Dalyan Beach, Turkey. Her hobbies include swimming, water polo, running, musicals and traveling. She lives with her dog, Mia, and her two guinea pigs, Quigley and Preston.
Dr. Owczarczak is hoping to move back to the east coast after her internship but is open to learning what the west coast has to offer! Her main career interests include emergency and surgery. She anticipates either pursuing a residency or working primarily as an emergency veterinarian in the future.
