Dr. Barry E. Brower

Dr. Barry Brower graduated from Carleton College with a BA in Biology before attending Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. Brower ran the Boston Marathon in 2010, and continues to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, such as running, sailing, and hiking. He lives with his cat, Teegs, who was adopted during Dr. Brower’s first year of veterinary school, and quickly became a devoted and loyal study partner.

Dr. Brower is particularly interested in surgery, having conducted research on animals with luxating patellas (kneecaps). Upon completion of his internship at VMSG, Dr. Brower is planning on entering a surgical residency program.
