Dr. Amy Vlazny

Dr. Amy Vlazny is a graduate of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Prior to veterinary school she attained a BA in biology at Washington University in St. Louis, worked as a veterinary technician, and lived in Ecuador for over two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. Her long-term dream is to gradually return to international outreach work as she gains clinical veterinary experience, hoping to help bring much-needed veterinary services into underserved communities. After completing her internship at VMSG, she is interested in joining a small animal general veterinary practice and working with local animal shelters.
Dr. Vlazny shares her home with her husband César and a fluffy black cat named Morgan. She practices capoeira, a Brazilian art form that is variably described as a game, martial art, or dance. She is tireless in her enjoyment of the outdoors on a sunny day, so she is overjoyed to be back in Southern California after her four-year hiatus in the Northeast!
